Item #: BQ647 -- Japanese Katana, Early Shinto -- $4000.00

Early Shinto, probably Owari-Seki, or possibly Echizen. Old iron fuchi/kashira and iron menuki in swallow motif. Tsuba cut out in the form of sea birds and waves. Unsigned, 2-hole, slightly shortened from the tang. Beautiful blade with combination of suguha and choji; lots of activity. Areas of light rubbing and superficial light surface oxidation, but no flaws or kizu of any kind. Would take a polish well. Saya excellent. 39" overall in saya, nagasa 26 13/16"
