Excellent white same grip with original wire. Nickel mounts and chromed scabbard. Koto period blade nagasa now 25 7/8". Blade grooved both sides, with choji gunome temper with lots of activity. Blade very healthy, no chips, some light oxidation to polish. O-suriagi nakago with three holes. No reference found for the exact pattern; the closest example found is the 1875 pattern Kyu Gunto. Scabbard with no dents, overall excellent condition. A rare and desirable sword. Overall 35 1/8" in scabbard.
