Item #: BQ3339 -- An 18th/19th Century Hanger, Possibly Revolutionary War or Mexican -- $875.00

An untouched sword with lightly rusted brown handforged blade displaying hammer work and file marks and a maker's stamp of conjoined "AO." The blade with narrow ricasso. Simple iron mounts with stag horn handle showing a fine use patina and an inked collection item number "P848." The horn grip slightly loose, turning freely on the tang. An honest weapon that needs further research and may turn out to be a early Mexican Espada Ancha or home-grown American Revolutionary War period example. Lacking the scabbard. 77.4 cm. overall.
