Item #: BQ3336 -- A Remounted 19th Century U.S. / C.S.A. M1860 Cavalry Sword -- $1250.00

This weapon started out as a 1860 U.S. Cavalry sword and the blade's ricasso still has U.S. inspector's initials, "G.K.C., 186[?]" and on the reverse a bit of the Ames script. The blade is straight with dark age patina. The scabbard is also M1860 cavalry less the throat piece and drag. The simple strap iron blacksmith made guard and crude wooden handle may be C.S.A. period work. A very interesting saber that may have seen action on both sides during the American Civil War. 103 cm. in scabbard.
