Item #: BQ3260 -- A 19th Century Mexican Short Sword Espada Ancha -- $315.00
A good untouched sword, allegedly brought out of Mexico in the 1950's but dating to the late 19th century. Lightly rusted browned blade reshaped through use. Cast brass mounts with lionhead pommel showing great surface wear. The looped crossguard has an age crack but is strong with no movement. The cow horn grips displaying great wear but showing worn cross-hatched patterns. An honest weapon that likely saw use during the Mexican Revolution. Scabbard lacking. 58.2cm. overall.
