A very attractive shinogi-zakuki sword with excellent older polish. The nakago is ubu, one ana and has a two kanji Kanemoto signature. With fine two-piece copper habaki. The hamon is a flowing medium gunome and sugaha. The Edo period sukashi iron tsuba is Bushu work in the form of iris flowers and leaves with fine gold and silver accents. The period tsuka's fittings include matched quality iron fuchi/kashira with gold bamboo design and a matched pair of gilded menuki in the form of flying cranes. The fine copper kodzuka features a man with birds in flight with heavy gold nunome. The ko-katana blade is rusted but is signed in part, "Kanemoto". The original saya is finished in gloss black lacquer with plain iron kojiri. This is a great complete sword for your collection that should paper very well. 53.3 cm. blade nagasa.
