Revolution period Mexican army fighting knife, marked at the ricasso, "EINDICION DE ARTILLERIA MEXICO." The blade is single edged with double fullers and a clipped point and long false edge similar to U.S. fighting knives. The crossguard is of steel plate and the grips are hardwood. An excellent example with sharpened and cleaned blade displaying moderate period use. Very fine condition as compared to the examples that are usually encountered. Lacking the leather sheath, 28.2 cm. overall, 16.9 cm. blade.
