The full-tang hilt with horn scales and copper spacers, decorated with filigreed silver and three iron frontal bosses. Long, slender handforged blade with pronounced central ridge. The original sheath with filigreed bands, engraved white metal upper with large embosse applique containing a cut red gemstone. Copper midsection. The chape with engraved silver sheet and filigree, terminating in a domed tip. The original tooled leather belt present and intact, decorated with stitching. The buckle hand hammered of iron. Overall excellent condition; the leather treated with a preservative and stable but fragile. Wahabite jambiyas are seldom found with the entire belt rig intact, and this one is worthy of any fine collection of Islamic arms.
