A well-made Gurkha kukri with its original leather sheath. Two-piece horn grip with brass bolsters and pommel cap, the rivets covered with horn caps, the center obverse having incorporated a shield-shaped inset, now lacking. The heavy single-fullered blade with rudimentary cho, steep downturn and slender profile, well-forged and stamped to the reverse "TEMPERED STEEL MADE IN INDIA" with ALLIED logo. Black leather sheath with laced frog and two hangers, without tinder pouch but accommodating two good quality bi-knives (both present) with horn handles. Overall GC; the knife and bi-knives VG; no cracks or chips to horn, the blade bright, the scabbard worn and scuffed split near the toe and with minor losses to the leather and wood, but basically sound. Blade 31.2 cm., overall in sheath 42.5 cm.
