One-piece wooden grip, widely flared at the pommel, with iron bolster, rudimentary ring and brass pommel cap with diamond-shaped escutcheon. Single-fullered blade with slender waist, broadly beveled edge and well-cut cho. In its original brown leather sheath with laced frog, tooled border and two hanging straps. The sheath with accommodation for karda, chakmak and tinder pouch, the karda present, the rest absent. Overall GC; the blade a dull grey with a couple of very minor scale deposits. Small chip to the top of the pommel; the cap slightly bent over. The sheath leather supple, one strap broken through and the other nearly so. All stitching/lacing tight and intact; with the exception of the straps the sheath is basically excellent. The blade on the karda rusty. Blade 28.8 cm., overall in sheath
