Single-piece hardwood grip with steel bolster and brass pommel. The grip with rudimentary carved wooden ring and decorated with iron tacks and copper inlays (one missing). Double-fullered hand-forged blade with incised vegetal decoration beneath the center of the spine and deeply cut cho. The sheath of brown leather with stitched frontal cutout applique with red felt backing, another similar decoration now lacking. The sheath retaining the original leather strap and incorporating the traditional tinder pouch and accommodations for eight iron instruments, two remaining but lacking the handles. Overall GC; the scabbard leather slightly shrunken and with minor leather loss at the through, otherwise very good. The blade cleaned with a few small areas of light to moderate pitting. Overall in sheath 45.7 cm.
