A Nepalese Kukri, probably 19th or early 20th century, with painted wooden grip with iron bolster. The blade with two short, narrow fullers, stamped with a mark to the reverse forte. The scabbard appears to be either recovered or a working life replacement. Basically GC; the pommel of steel sheet showing remnants of adhesive indicating a missing pommel cap. The grip with traces of old filler adjacent the pommel and with a small bit of wood loss at the top cusp. The blade spotted with a couple of areas of scattered pitting, showing grinding marks from sharpening. The sheath with a small opening in the stitching at the underside of the toe. Overall in sheath 45 cm., blade 32.5 cm.
