Item #: 1002-323 -- A Large Rare WWII Period Gurkha Military Kukri -- $400.00
A large WWII period kukri with robust two-piece wooden grips, without ring, secured with brass rivets and washers. The unfullered, blackened blade of uncharacteristic form with deep belly and basically flattened lenticular section, without bolsters and lacking a proper cho but having instead a sharpened cusp, similar to that found on some modern skinning knives. This pattern was generally rejected by troops due to the lack of the traditional spear of Kali and trident of Shiva. Overall GC; lacking the sheath, with light use wear. Overall 43.5 cm., blade 30.5 cm.
