A fine quality Ethiopian gile dagger with fine white grip in two pieces, separated by horn shims and with brass bolster. Faceted silver pommel with faceted finial and filigreed base. The slightly asymmetrical leaf form blade fits well, though a little snugly, into its fine leather sheath. The sheath displays fine stitching beneath the throat and at the seams and is of better than average quality. Complete with the original belt and buckle. Oveall GC; the blade somewhat corroded with areas of deep pitting and active surface rust. Should clean reasonably well. The lower segment of the grip with a n age crack. Copper and brass parts with green corrosion that should clean up well.
