A Philippine sword similar in form to the Moro barong, with handforged leaf-form blade and handcarved faceted hardwood hilt with tapered "ears" and integrally carved ferrule. With its original wooden sheath of two pieces, bonded together with an adhesive and retaining a small segment of hanging cord. Overall GC; the blade with sparsely scattered areas of pitting or carbon inclusions, the scabbard reverse with slight age cracking at the throat. Overall in sheath 59.5 cm.
