A Nepalese kukri, probably latter 19th century, in its original leather red dyed leather sheath with both bi-knives and tinder pouch present. A relatively petite example with fairly slender blade and one-piece wooden handle with brass bolster and pommel plate. The handle with carved band adjacent the central ring. The blade with two narrow fullers and minimal cho. Overall GC; a tight crack to the handle (with old wood filler) and a small chip near the pommel with the pommel plate subsequently folded over to cover. The blade with a couple of areas of dark spotting and pitting. Blade 26 cm., overall in sheath 41.6 cm.
