A good 19th century Nepalese kukri in its original black leather sheath with robust brass chape and accommodation for tinder pouch and bi-knives, all lacking. Plain, one-piece wooden handle with single ring, well flared at the butt and capped with a sheet of iron. Hand-forged blade with iron bolsters and dual narrow fullers. Of good form with well-cut cho and narrow waist. GC overall; one very small chip to the bottom of the pommel, blade with minor oxidation but no pitting, the sheath well-stitched but separated and slightly torn at the top. Blade 31 cm., overall in sheath 44.3 cm.
