An unidentified 19th C. European sword, brass hilted with original wire bound grip. The straight, fullered blade carries etching of floral sprays and a panoply of arms. The knuckle guard is lost along with the blade buffer and the assembly displays looseness. The blade has a dark age patina and moderate rust pitting, heaviest at the tip.The sword does not have a scabbard. 89.5cm. overall.
