# BQ2288 - An Original Late War M1940 Shin-gunto (Naval Landing Force) Katana - $ 1325.00

Oil tempered blade with milky straight hamon, signed "Yoshifusa" and dated Showa 20th year, 5th Month (May, 1945) with small Showa stamp on the nakago mune. It is uncommon to find Japanese swords made this close to the end of WWII. Blade is slightly stained with minor light scratches, saya has some paint loss and a couple of very tiny dents. An excellent clean example of this pattern of katana. 66.4 cm. blade nagasa, 98.7 cm. overall.
