# bq1950 - A Superb Signed and Dated Shinshinto Tanto - $ 5395.00

This tanto is in full minty Japanese polish with fine Ho wood shirasaya. Wonderful hirazakuri blade with 21.6 cm. nagasa, with classic rare Gassan style Ayasuji hada and suguha with ko-gunome hamon. Signedn “Haruunoshi Nobuhide Saku,” dated Meiji 4, 7th month, i.e. July 1871. Excellent silver foil covered habaki. This is Hawley's NOB. 175/176. A truly beautiful tanto.
