# USNM1 - A U.S. Collins #623 Naval M. K-1 Machete, Dated 1944 - $ 225.00

A good Collins #623 U.S.N. M.K-1 Machete, stamped at the forte "LEGITIMUS / COLLINS & CO. / 1944" with Collins logo. With the original correct 1942 pattern canvas scabbard with leather throat. Overall VG; the scabbard a tad dry, the blade with some minor spotting that would clean well with steel wool and oil. Small hole to the reverse of the scabbard where the blade terminates (a common malady, particularly when stored upright, which folds the tip of the scabbard over). Blade 65.5 cm (25 7/8" -- a 26" blade, slightly rounded at the tip).
