A Late 19th Century Prussian Civil Service Sword - $
A good example with threaded pommel screw that has been disassembled and cleaned by a prior collector. The brass mounts now lacking age patina. The wood handle is exposed with a satin clear finish and a new leather blade buffer has been added. The leather scabbard with small glued repairs along the seam and a fresh black finish. The blade also cleaned and polished, displaying light pitting near the tip and faint traces of the original etching. The original metal drag is now lacking. This sword without its scabbard does serve as a very good display item and could be properly conserved. 97cm. overall.
