An Edo period Japanese katana-sized tsuka with matched set of darkened copper handachi-style fuchi-kashira. Excellent floral plum blossom motif shakudo menuki with gold accents. Very good condition with sound ito wrap, lightly soiled and with slight gaps in the underlying same. The top of the kashira with a minor dent. A very nice untouched example, great for mounting. 25.2 cm. L.
