# BQ2849 - A WWII Period Anderson Fighting Knife with Original Sheath - $ 720.00

A rare original Anderson WWII fighting knife. Anderson made his fighters for the war effort from M1913 Patton Saber blades and also provided the leather sheaths to match the blades. This knife was made from the tip section of a saber and carries its original Anderson grind; near mint condition. The gray cast plastic handle displays fine linear scratches on the flats on both sides. This may have been added by its war period owner to improve his grip on the smooth plastic. It is still possible to read the information on both sides, "ANDERSON GLENDALE CALIFORNIA" and "MADE IN U.S.A." The handle is in very good shape with no cracks or chips and the original sheath is in fine used condition with minor light surface scuffs but is lacking part of the leather strap keeper and snap. The knife without sheath 13.8 cm. overall.
