# BQ2792 - A U.S. M1840 N.C.O. Sword - $ 510.00

A Civil war period U.S. M1840 N.C.O. sword, stamped at the ricasso, "U.S. AHC" and partially legible 1862 date. The blade is full and in original polish except for minor rust and pitting where the leather buffer meets the ricasso. The hilt is of cast brass and is double stamped, "154". the original brass-mounted leather scabbard is in fine condition except that the leather has broken through at the toe. A very good example. 100.3 cm. overall in scabbard.
