# AH38 - A 20th Century West Indian Peshkabz Dagger - $ 350.00

An Indian peshkabz dagger of small proportion, the brass-mounted hilt comprised of jade, mother-of-pearl and resin, with loose ring at the pommel. The slightly curved blade with wide fuller and short false edge, quite sharp and probably of wootz crucible steel, i.e. would likely show a pattern if properly etched. The sheath recovered in velour with modern gold inlaid chape. Overall 33.9 cm, blade 18.2 cm.
