Click here for fax-in order form

A Collins Marine Corps machete, ca. 1942-45, stamped at the ricasso, "LEGITIMUS / COLLINS & CO / MADE IN USA No.191." D.E. Henry in his book “Collins Machetes and Bowies 1845-1965,” pages 127-128, documents the order and use of these non-Marine stamped beauties in the island hopping campaigns. Henry stated that he had only seen three of this model during his collecting career. This example has the correct #9 phenolic plastic handle. Very fine lightly period used condition with age darkened blade patina. 65 cm. overall.
