# BQ2579 - Katana in Shirasaya by Oku Izumi Tadashige - $ 6600.00

This fine large shinogi-zukuri blade is signed, "Sashu ju Oku Izumi no kami Tadashige", ca. 1690. The hamon is medium midareba with gunome and nie. The blade has a fine copper habaki. In the Shinto Vol. of Fugishiro he is listed on page 138 as a Jojo saku and additionally his blades are rated as "Ryowazamono" (very sharp). In Hawley he is rated as a 50pt. smith. Included with the sword are N.B.T.H.K Kicho Token papers. The blade is in excellent Japanese polish and is housed in an old kiri wood shirasaya. 75.7cm. blade nagasa.
