Early example with hand forged hairpin pattern steel, single edged and fullered blade. The hilt may be a period replacement. Bronze mounted with snake skin grip over wood with coral embellishment. The scabbard is of higher quality with the wood core covered in old velvet. Gilded chiseled iron frame with a heavy silver boss. Very good condition; an unaltered example with correct age patina, minor losses and period wear. 66.8 cm. overall in sheath.
