With an outstanding quality double etched blade from the region of Darfur, in its original scabbard still retaining the original leather cover and two suspension rings.. The entire grip and pommel are also leather covered. Brass cruciform crossguard. Untouched double-edged, spatulate tip blade with multi- fullers and double crescent man in the moon stamps to either side. The blade is completely covered with etched Arabic calligraphy. Fine original condition overall, with even age patina to blade and leather. Slight losses to scabbard leather and tip. Blade 96 cm., overall in scabbard 110 cm.
