# BQ2231 - An Edo Period Japanese Gunpowder Flask, ca. 1800 - $ 550.00

An excellent and unusual example of a large flask made from hollowed wooden branch with thin wooden plates added top and bottom. Fine original lacquered finish with two bamboo-plugged openings and measuring cup attached with a cord. The bottom signed in red lacquer with a single kanji. 13 cm. tall with stopper in place.
