Consignment Policies
Due to requests from visitors to this
site, we now accept consignments. Consignments will be handled in
the following manner:
1) Consignors will provide either a good quality, high resolution scan, or a good
quality photograph for me to scan. Consignors will also provide an accurate description of
the item, including any and all markings, damage to the item, dimensions, etc. All
consigned items will remain in possession of the consignor until the item is sold.
2) There will be no charges to the consignor for scanning or representation of the
item on a web page.
3) LionGate will retain sole discretion in determining whether to accept or
terminate representation of an item on the LionGate web site.
4) Consignors will also agree to notify LionGate in the case that the consigned
item is sold outside of the LionGate site.
5) Upon sale of the item, the buyer will send payment in full, including shipping
charges, to LionGate. LionGate will hold the check until it clears, if a personal check.
6) Upon receipt of a cashiers check or money order, or clearing of a personal
check, LionGate will notify the consignor that payment has transpired, and the consignor
will ship the item, packaged properly and with the carrier agreed upon by the buyer. At
this point consignor will provide LionGate with shipper numbers and any other relevant
information so that the package can be traced by LionGate.
7) Buyer will be responsible for any VATs or import taxes or fees associated with
shipment of the item. We at LionGate will do our best to make sure the buyer is aware of
any of these, but disclaim any liability with respect to this.
8) Buyer agrees to notify LionGate upon receipt of the item. The seven day
inspection period begins upon the date of receipt by the buyer.
9) LionGate will hold the payment until the five day inspection/acceptance period
has elapsed.
10) If the buyer deems the item unacceptable within the seven day inspection
period, the buyer must immediately notify LionGate, indicating clearly why the item is
unacceptable. The buyer agrees to assume expenses associated with returning the item,
insured, to the sender. LionGate will continue to hold the payment until the consignor
receives the item. Full payment will then be returned to the buyer. The consignor will
then be reimbursed the original shipping charges by LionGate.
11) LionGate will immediately forward payment to the consignor following the
passing of the inspection period, less a 15% commission for selling the item.
